Zelensky announced a package of French military assistance to Ukraine with SAMP-T air defense

The French authorities intend to provide Ukraine with additional military assistance, which, in addition to 100 Rafale aircraft, will also include SAMP-T air defense systems, radars for air defense systems, missiles and aerial bombs. This was announced on November 17 by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky following talks with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, the Reuters news agency reports.

He noted that during the summit meeting, important documents were signed that would help strengthen Ukraine's defense. According to the Ukrainian leader, Kiev will be able to receive 100 Rafale F4 aircraft, as well as powerful French radars, eight SAMP-T air defense systems, six launchers, air–to-air missiles and guided aerial bombs.

Also, according to the Ukrainian leader, France has promised to supply Ukraine with 55 new electric locomotives. These strategic agreements are designed for 10 years, and they will be valid until 2035, Zelensky said.

Some of the possible candidates have already refused to participate in the alliance.

Earlier that day, Zelensky and Macron approved a declaration on Kiev's purchase of French weapons. The document is designed for a ten-year period and includes the intention to purchase Rafale fighter jets. The agreement specifically involves the purchase of equipment, and deliveries are expected in the long term and on a fee basis. Macron said at a joint press conference with the Ukrainian leader that he hopes to end the conflict in Ukraine by 2027.

The leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, called the meeting of the heads of France and Ukraine in Paris a disgrace.
