On November 17, French President Emmanuel Macron expressed confidence that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky is able to improve Ukraine's success in the fight against corruption.

"I believe in the determination of the Ukrainian people <...> and I believe that President Zelensky will be able to do this [the fight against corruption]," Macron said.

He also noted that the path to the European Union (EU) requires great efforts, in particular deep reforms in the field of governance, justice and the fight against corruption.

On November 10, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) revealed a money laundering scheme in the country's energy sector, through which about $100 million passed. Seven people were charged in the case of corruption in the energy sector, including businessman Timur Mindich (he is called the head of the criminal scheme).

On November 15, a protest rally was held in the center of Kiev against the background of the corruption scandal involving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was noted that more than 100 people took part in the rally.

Later, Politico reported that senior Ukrainian officials were trying to reassure Western partners amid the scandal surrounding Minditch. As the situation began to deteriorate rapidly, the Ukrainian authorities announced a number of high-profile government resignations and personnel changes at state-owned energy companies.
