By mid-November, more than 614,000 people had been vaccinated against influenza in the Tula Region. Among them, almost 488 thousand people are adults and more than 126 thousand are children.

These are the data of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, which is reported by TSN24. The ministry recalled that the optimal period for flu vaccination is from September to November, when the seasonal circulation of the virus has not yet begun.
Rospotrebnadzor called the epidemiological situation of influenza in the region safe.

Earlier, on November 13, Andrey Osipov, chief physician of Domodedovo Central Hospital, called for flu and pneumococcal vaccinations to protect against severe forms of pneumonia. According to the expert, the composition of the flu vaccine is updated annually, taking into account the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and monitoring by Rospotrebnadzor, to ensure protection against current strains of the virus. He added that vaccination against pneumococcal infection, which often causes the most severe forms of pneumonia, is also very important.
