Starting in 2027, the international Arctic forum "The Arctic — the Territory of Dialogue" will be held in Murmansk on a regular basis. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The forum was held in Murmansk in March 2025. According to Governor Andrey Chibis, more than 1.3 thousand people took part in it. The forum itself had a great impact on the economy of the Murmansk region. It is with the success of this event that the decision on its regular format is associated.

The Government of the Russian Federation reported that the Murmansk region is showing stable development. The regional authorities expect that the GRP in 2026 will amount to about 1.3 trillion rubles, and annual growth in the next three years is planned at the level of 1.3-2.3%, Bi-port news agency writes.

In September, it was reported that the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug topped the rating "Regions — leaders of socio-economic sustainability. Top 35". Thus, it reconfirmed its position as the strongest territory in the country. The top ten also includes Chukotka, the Northern Administrative District, the Magadan Region, Moscow, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, the Sakhalin Region, Yakutia, St. Petersburg and the Murmansk Region.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
