The statement by the European Commissioner for Defense, Andrius Kubilius, on the deployment of Ukrainian units in the European Union (EU) countries actually reflects the forecast of Kiev's loss of its own army. This was announced to TASS on November 17 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

According to her, the politician's proposal to deploy "Ukrainian battalions" in the EU states bordering Russia after the end of the conflict sounds like an admission that Kiev will no longer need these forces.

"It seems to me that he literally scribbled the future of Ukraine," Zakharova said.
