- Power supply restored in Gorlovka and Yasinovataya after the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack
In the cities of Gorlovka and Yasinovataya of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), power supply was restored after drone strikes The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on November 17 by the head of the republic Denis Pushilin.
"Now Gorlovka and Yasinovataya are fully connected, there is only one boiler room left in Gorlovka, literally. As for the Donetsk-Makeyevka agglomeration, the Krasnogvardeysky district of Makeyevka, as well as the Voroshilovsky and Kalininsky districts of Donetsk, have not yet been partially connected," he said on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
Pushilin added that some of the drones were destroyed, but their debris damaged the energy facility. Power engineers spent the whole night restoring light in populated areas.
On the same day, the head of the DPR announced an attack by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the energy infrastructure in Donetsk, Makeyevka, Gorlovka and Yasinovataya. As a result, about 500 thousand subscribers were de-energized.
Earlier that day, an attempted UAV attack on an energy facility in the Veshkaymsky district was repelled in the Ulyanovsk region. According to the governor of the region, Alexei Russian, there are no casualties, and the power supply continues as normal.
