Almost half (48%) of supporters of the US Democratic Party were dissatisfied with the outcome of negotiations with Republicans on ending the shutdown. This was reported on November 16 by CBS News TV channel with reference to a survey conducted jointly with YouGov.

"Today, most Democrats believe that their own party in Congress has made too many compromises," the publication says.

It is noted that the majority of Democrats were disappointed and dissatisfied with the situation in which their party made significant concessions, and perceived it in a pessimistic way. At the same time, exactly half of the supporters of the Republican Party expressed relief over the resolution of the issue.

A total of 1,288 respondents, adult citizens of the United States, participated in the study.

Earlier, on November 12, US President Donald Trump signed a law on financing the work of the country's government until the end of January. Republicans were able to agree on a bill without succumbing to blackmail from the Democratic Party, the politician said, speaking at the White House.
