A moratorium on price increases for AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline, as well as diesel fuel, may be established in Russia. On November 17, Sergei Mironov, Chairman of the Fair Russia Party, sent a corresponding appeal to Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of Russia.

"It seems necessary to consider establishing a temporary moratorium on price increases for AI-92, AI-95 gasoline and diesel fuel for the period until October 1, 2026 in order to prevent an increase in fuel costs during seasonal harvesting," TASS quoted a fragment of the document.

It is reported that the measure will be temporary with clearly defined criteria for the end of the moratorium, such as a steady decrease in price volatility and convergence of the dynamics of motor fuels with general inflation.

As part of the initiative, it is also proposed to instruct the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) to strengthen control over pricing and trade surcharges in the online retail segment. Warnings and regulations will also be more actively applied in case of signs of violation of antimonopoly legislation.

Earlier, on November 12, a decrease in gasoline prices was recorded in Russia. Thus, the average consumer prices for gasoline in Russia from November 5 to November 10, 2025 decreased by 13 cents, to 65.34 rubles per liter. At the same time, prices for premium AI-98 gasoline in the capital ranged from 86.6 to 92.51 rubles per liter.
