HR experts reported a wave of "micropensions" among young employees
There is a growing trend among young Russians towards so—called "micropensions" - conscious long breaks between jobs for the sake of recuperation and personal development. About this on November 17, "Gazeta.Ru," said Ekaterina Zelenkova, HR Director of the PROGRESS communication group.
According to her, the "micropensions" format allows you to temporarily give up your workload in order to devote yourself to hobbies, traveling or studying. The expert noted that representatives of the younger generation strive to avoid burnout and do not want to postpone a full life for the period after retirement.
"It's not about laziness, it's about awareness. It is important for them to maintain balance and mental health, and not just accumulate experience," explained Zelenkova.
She also noted that such pauses may raise questions from employers, but the attitude towards them is gradually changing. According to the expert, if a candidate can explain the reasons for the break and tell what skills he has acquired, this does not become an obstacle to employment.
"Sometimes, to make a leap forward, you just need to stop and catch your breath," she stressed.
According to Zelenkova, the phenomenon of "micropensions" reflects a change in work philosophy: young employees strive to combine career with self-realization and personal well-being, which makes breaks part of a new model of professional path.
Earlier, on September 6, it was reported that representatives of generation Z have increased demands on working conditions and flexible schedules. According to a Selecty study and hh.ru Young professionals often put comfort and development opportunities above the salary, and hybrid employment formats are becoming preferable to traditional office ones.
