In three hours, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed five drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the skies over the regions of Russia. This was announced on November 16 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"In the period from 17:00 to 20:00 Moscow time, five Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of an airplane type were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is specified that two drones were neutralized over the Kursk and Bryansk regions, and another drone was shot down over the territory of the Belgorod region.

On the same day, the Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of six Ukrainian UAVs in six hours over the regions of the Central Federal District (CFD). The press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reported that last night air defense systems destroyed 57 UAVs over the regions of Russia. It was noted that 23 drones were shot down over the Samara region, 17 over the Volgograd region, five each over the Saratov and Rostov regions, three over the Kursk and Voronezh regions, and one over the Bryansk region.
