An ecologist from the Netherlands noted the responsiveness and kindness of the Russian man

Russian people are good, kind and helpful. Petrus Antonius Johannes van der Wolff, an ecologist from the Netherlands, expressed this opinion in an interview with Izvestia on November 16.

"I really enjoyed the contact with people. Of course, a lot depends on the person themselves, but I still meet good, kind people who want to help, whom I helped too," said Van der Wolff.

He also noted the presence of unique animals on Sakhalin, such as gray whales, fur seals, white-tailed eagles and others.

"It's just a dream for a biologist, for an ecologist," Van der Wolff added.

In addition, the ecologist shared plans to open a horse rehabilitation and care center on Sakhalin.

On October 27, Van der Wolf received a temporary residence permit in Russia with the help of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Sakhalin Region and public figures. The man came to Sakhalin in 2003. He works as an ecologist on the island.
