Stubb noted Lavrov's exceptional knowledge of international treaties
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is the only person who knows all the international treaties in the world down to the smallest detail. This was announced on November 16 by Finnish President Alexander Stubb in an interview with the Associated Press (AP).
"Lavrov worked in Soviet and Russian diplomacy for more than 30 years, and served as foreign minister for more than 20 years. He is probably the only person who knows all the international treaties in the world down to the smallest detail," said Stubb.
The Finnish leader also expressed concerns about the expiration of certain nuclear agreements among the countries. According to him, the nuclear powers should discuss the use of missiles and conclude nuclear agreements.
Earlier, on November 14, the Italian newspaper La Verità posted the full version of Lavrov's interview, which had not previously been published by Corriere della Sera. The full version of the conversation is posted on the newspaper's website, and the printed issue contains key fragments and a QR code to access the full text. In an editorial comment, La Verità noted that readers should be able to get acquainted with the acute positions in order to independently form an assessment of what is happening.
