Three people were injured in a fire in an apartment building in Tomsk, 29 residents were rescued from a smoke-filled house. This was announced on November 16 by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the MAX messenger.

"There was a fire in a high-rise building at night. Thanks to the coordinated and prompt actions of the rescuers of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, 29 residents, including nine children, were rescued from the smoke-filled house. Unfortunately, three people were injured," the ministry said in a statement.

It is noted that 69 specialists and 19 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The ministry did not inform about the causes of the fire.

Earlier in the day, three children suffered carbon monoxide poisoning as a result of a fire in an apartment on Stroitelei Street in Ulan-Ude. It is noted that rescuers managed to take three underage boys out of the burning apartment. The children were hospitalized with signs of poisoning from gorenje products. The fire was extinguished on an area of 10 square meters. m. 26 personnel and eight pieces of equipment took part in the operation. According to the preliminary version, the cause of the fire was careless handling of fire.
