Representing Kyrgyzstan, Valentina Shevchenko defeated Chinese Zhang Weili in a duel for the title of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) in the light heavyweight division. The results of the fight on November 16 were reported on the MMA Fighting website.

"Valentina Shevchenko defeats Zhang Weili in a one—sided duel and defends her title," the publication says.

It is noted that this is the ninth victory of the 37-year-old athlete. The fight lasted five rounds and ended with a unanimous decision of the judges.

The meeting ended with a score of 50:45. In total, Shevchenko has 26 wins and four losses.

Earlier, on October 25, Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Umar Nurmagomedov defeated American Mario Bautista during the UFC lightweight tournament. The fight took place in Abu Dhabi. The fight lasted three rounds, and the victory was awarded to the cousin of UFC Hall of Fame member Khabib Nurmagomedov by the decision of the judges.
