In Mexico City, a mass demonstration organized by young people escalated into clashes, as a result of which over 100 people were injured, mostly police officers, and dozens of participants were detained. This was reported on November 15 by the publication El Salvador.

According to the authorities, the march gathered thousands of protesters dissatisfied with the security policy and the level of violence in the country. Mexico City Security Secretary Pablo Vasquez said the rally had been peaceful for several hours, but then a group of masked men began using force. He specified that about 100 policemen and 20 demonstrators were injured, and 20 people were detained on charges of robbery and bodily harm.

The authorities have also launched an investigation into the attack on a journalist of the La Hornada newspaper, who, according to media reports, was beaten by police.

Earlier, on November 15, it was reported that anti-government rallies were held in the capital of Mexico, organized by representatives of generation Z, who opposed the growth of crime, corruption and impunity. The protests ended with the support of older opposition supporters.
