During a storm in the Murmansk region, two small vessels were torn off their moorings, as a result, one of them sank, and the second disappeared. The incident occurred in the area of Teriberka, in Lodeynaya Bay, the North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office reported on November 16 in the Telegram channel.

According to the agency, there were no passengers on board the Sargan and Nadezhda vessels. It was noted that rescue operations are not yet possible due to a strong storm.

"After the weather improves, the owners will begin work on lifting the vessels," the prosecutor's office said.

An inspection is underway and the circumstances of the incident are being clarified.

Earlier, on November 14, it was reported that several roads were blocked in the region due to a powerful snowstorm. The snowfall is accompanied by winds of up to 30 m/s, which led to traffic stops on a number of routes and delays of about 20 flights. The authorities stated that traffic would be restored as soon as possible.
