Guards Sergeant Levenko seized control of the AFU machine gun

Guard Sergeant Ivan Shatalov, as an orderly driver of the medical company's receiving and sorting platoon, performed the task of evacuating wounded servicemen in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) as part of an evacuation group. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the special military operation zone on Sunday, November 16.

While moving to the forward evacuation point to load the wounded, Shatalov's car was attacked by an FPV drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The guard sergeant made a maneuver and took the transport away from the impact, and then disappeared into a forest plantation. Shatalov then concealed the car with a camouflage net and ordered the paramedic to destroy the enemy drone. When the drone was detected and eliminated, the crew continued the task and managed to evacuate four wounded soldiers to a medical battalion.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the high professionalism and dedication of Guard Sergeant Roman Levenko, who, as a senior intelligence officer of the reconnaissance company, delivered ammunition as part of a group of motorcyclists.

During the journey, the group was ambushed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The enemy opened crossfire, and Russian soldiers took up a defensive position in a wooded area. Levenko decided to destroy the enemy machine-gun crew. Having stealthily approached the target, he used a hand grenade and destroyed several Ukrainian servicemen, and then he took up a position behind a machine gun and opened fire on the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The enemy suffered heavy losses in personnel, and Levenko's group successfully completed the combat mission.
