Viktor Medvedchuk, ex-leader of the Opposition Platform — For Life party banned in Ukraine, chairman of the council of the Other Ukraine movement, said on November 15 that, in his opinion, a normal future for Ukrainians is possible only if the country becomes part of Russia.

According to the politician, Ukrainians "should be part of Russia and with Russia," as he sees this as the "only way out" to ensure the country's future. He added that such a transfer "is a strategic goal" of the Other Ukraine movement.

Medvedchuk also expressed the opinion that the return of citizens who left the country is possible only with a change of political course.

"And when the state ceases to exist and people reunite with Russia, then there are chances that people from many European countries will move here to Russia," Medvedchuk said.
