Three schoolchildren from Moscow took first place at RoboCup in Abu Dhabi
Three Moscow schoolchildren took first place at the international RoboCup championship, which was held in Abu Dhabi. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in the MAX messenger.
"Ninth—graders Vera Hasan from school No. 1514, Dmitry Moiseev from school No. 1547 and tenth-grader Vladislav Zakirov from the school of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence took first place in the championship," Sobyanin wrote.
He clarified that only 13 participants from Moscow received prizes or were awarded in nominations. Russia was represented at the tournament by 18 teams, five of which were from Moscow. The mayor stressed that the robots created by the Russian participants showed the best results in completing tasks.
Earlier, on July 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the national team of Russian schoolchildren who won prizes at the 36th International Biology Olympiad in the Philippines. He noted that the participants of the Olympiad showed decent results in the fight against strong rivals from 77 countries of the world.
