The developers of the new bomb cassette received the Makarovets Award

Russian gunsmiths were awarded the Nikolai Makarovets Hero of Russia Award. The award ceremony was held at the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI). This was announced on November 15 at Rostec State Corporation.

"In the nomination "For contribution to the development and production of special—purpose products," gold went to the developers of a single-use bomb cluster," the Telegram channel says.

In second place are the creators of a solution for increasing the range of barrel artillery ammunition. The third place was taken by the electronic fuse of the projectile, which is capable of hitting drones.

According to Rostec, a record 148 applications were submitted for participation in the competition this year.

The Makarovets Prize is awarded for achievements in the field of creating military and civilian products.

On November 7, the High-Precision Complexes Holding, part of Rostec State Corporation, supplied the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with the next batches of missiles for the Kornet anti-tank complexes and Krasnopol-M2 high-precision artillery shells. The Kornet is designed to destroy modern tanks, including vehicles with dynamic protection, as well as defensive structures, armored vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), while the Krasnopol-M2 is used to destroy a wide range of targets, from tanks and armored personnel carriers to bridges, command posts and enemy fortifications.
