The model of Russia's development today serves as a guideline for many states. This was announced on November 15 by Pierre, grandson of the founder of the Fifth Republic, General Charles de Gaulle, at the II BRICS–Europe International Symposium.

"Russia and its partners have been building a new architecture of peace for a long time. Russia is a new trend and an example of the future. No one can deny the high level of education and culture in the Russian Federation. Russia is an example for many countries," TASS quoted him as saying.

He noted that France and Europe are "somewhat lagging behind" the processes that are taking place within the framework of the BRICS, and that the Russian socio-economic model has proven its effectiveness.

The grand opening of the II BRICS–Europe International Symposium took place earlier that day in Sochi. Alexey Gromyko, Director of the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said that BRICS is a research laboratory for improving the effectiveness of global governance and regulation mechanisms. According to him, the relocation of the center of world politics and economics to Eurasia contributed to the rapid development of BRICS.
