The grand opening of the BRICS–Europe 2025 Forum was held in Sochi.

"BRICS is a kind of research laboratory for improving the effectiveness of global governance and regulation mechanisms," said Alexey Gromyko, Director of the Institute of Europe at the Russian Academy of Sciences.

According to him, the relocation of the center of world politics and economics to Eurasia contributed to the rapid development of BRICS. The opening ceremony was attended by Ram Madhav, President of the India Foundation, and Pierre de Gaulle, grandson of the founder of the Fifth Republic, General Charles de Gaulle, President of the Foundation for Peace and Friendship between Peoples.

She added that the presence of representatives from many countries especially strengthens the positive steps within the framework of the platform, such as the development and strengthening of unity.
