Muscovites were warned about 30% of the monthly precipitation rate over the weekend.

About one-third of the monthly precipitation will fall in Moscow on Saturday, with a temporary snow cover. This was announced on November 15 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.

"On Saturday afternoon, the temperature will range from -1 to +4 degrees, and the front that will approach Moscow late in the evening will bring heavy precipitation. They will start in the form of light rain, but then mostly wet snow will fall. Their number will range from about 10 to 17 mm, which is about 30%, while the monthly norm is about 50 mm," he said in an interview with TASS.

According to Vilfand, precipitation will begin to stop in the afternoon from 12:00 to 15:00 Moscow time, after which pressure growth will increase. At night, the temperature may drop to -4...-6 degrees in the capital, up to -8 degrees in the Moscow region. On Sunday afternoon, November 16, the weather will continue. It is expected from 0 to -2 degrees in the afternoon.

It is specified that from Monday in the capital it will be cloudy with clarifications, the temperature will rise to +3...+5 degrees, after which the temporary snow cover will begin to melt.

Earlier, on November 13, it was reported that snow had already covered 80% of the entire territory of Russia. The forecaster clarified that the amount of snow is still small, but it has been steadily lying in the listed regions for the past five days. Vilfand added that the regions of the Far Eastern, Siberian and Ural Federal districts were also covered with snow.
