Latin American countries are considering the possibility of preparing a joint declaration condemning the US aggression against Venezuela. This was reported on November 14 by the Brazilian portal UOL, citing sources.

It is noted that consultations are currently underway on this topic. According to the authors, Brazil, Mexico and Colombia should first make a condemnatory statement.

According to the interlocutors of the publication, the joint declaration should send a signal to the United States about the inadmissibility of using force to advance its interests in the region.

A day earlier, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said that the people of the United States should unite with Venezuela to establish peace in the Americas.

On October 24, Maduro appealed to US President Donald Trump to abandon military action against Caracas. He stressed the need for "peace forever, without any insane war" and said that Washington's actions represent a psychological war against Venezuela. The statement came amid strained relations between the two countries following the deployment of U.S. warships in the Caribbean, which Caracas regards as an attempt at regime change.
