The Italian newspaper La Verità has published the full version of an interview with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, which had not previously been published by Corriere della Sera. This was announced on November 14 on the publication's website.

"Lavrov accused Corriere della Sera of not publishing the interview provided to him. <...> The newspaper refused the answers that the minister provided to the questions sent to him," the publication says.

The full version of the conversation is posted on the newspaper's website, and the printed issue contains key fragments and a QR code to access the full text.

In an editorial comment, La Verità noted that readers should have the opportunity to get acquainted with acute positions in order to independently form an assessment of what is happening.

Earlier, on November 13, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera had censored an interview with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov for fear of discussing the problem of neo-Nazism in the modern world. According to her, the diplomat personally prepared several pages of answers to the questions of the newspaper's journalists, having received them from Italy. Subsequently, some "games" began, which, according to Lavrov, surprised the newspaper's correspondents themselves.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
