Marianna Dzhikiya, a neurologist at the SM Clinic Medical Center, told on Friday, November 14, whether magnetic storms affect weather-dependent motorists.

"Although scientific evidence about the direct effects of magnetic storms on the human body is still being debated, many doctors and patients note their indirect effect on well—being," she said in an interview with the Auto Mail project.

The neurologist clarified that during geomagnetic disturbances, some people, especially those who are weather-sensitive or have chronic diseases, may experience the following symptoms: headaches and dizziness, high blood pressure, drowsiness, insomnia, fatigue, decreased concentration and reaction speed, as well as increased anxiety.

"Any of these symptoms can seriously affect the ability to drive safely. Reaction speed and clarity of thinking are important when driving, and feeling unwell inevitably reduces them," the specialist concluded.

Earlier, on November 10, it was reported that the deputies of the party "Communists of Russia" proposed to allow citizens not to work during magnetic storms. In their opinion, weather—dependent Russians should receive the right to be released from work if they feel unwell, and in the absence of medical certificates, they should be able to switch to a remote format.

In turn, Sergey Bogachev, head of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said on November 11 that weather-dependent people should pay attention to their health during magnetic storms. 360.ru .
