US President Donald Trump is going to instruct Attorney General Pam Bondi and the US Department of Justice to investigate financier Jeffrey Epstein's connections with leading Democrats. He made the corresponding statement on November 14.

"I will ask Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice, as well as our great patriots from the [Federal Bureau of Investigation] FBI, to investigate Jeffrey Epstein's connections with [former US President] Bill Clinton, [former US Treasury Secretary] Larry Summers, Reed Hoffman, JP Morgan, Chase and many other people and organizations," Trump wrote on his Truth Social page.

According to him, the Democrats are using "Epstein hoaxes" involving Democrats, not Republicans, to try to distract from the shutdown and other "failures."

"All the arrows are pointing at the Democrats. The documents show that these people and many others have spent a significant part of their lives with Epstein and on his "island," Trump concluded.

On November 12, White House press Secretary Caroline Leavitt accused representatives of the American Democratic Party of selectively publishing letters from Epstein, accused of molesting minors. She noted that the victim who appears in the published letters is the late Virginia Giuffre, who has repeatedly stated Trump's non-interference in the Epstein case.

On the same day, it was reported that Democrats from the House Oversight Committee published Epstein's correspondence, which mentions Trump's name. The White House called the publication an attempt to discredit the former president and said that the Democrats selectively handed over the letters to the liberal media.
