After the start of their work, the musicians, many of whom later became foreign agents, allowed themselves to harass colleagues who publicly supported the special operation. Ilya Knabengoff (Chert), the leader of the Pilot group, was even threatened with death for his position. He told about it in the new issue of the podcast "Lime".

"We got it all over our heads, only my lazy liberal colleague didn't throw mud at me. I was threatened. The vocalist of the band "Cockroaches" openly threatened me with violence, already sitting somewhere in Europe. He spoke publicly: "I'll deal with you personally!" We've known each other for a long time, we've only seen him four times. He's neither my matchmaker, nor my brother, no one. And other fellow musicians slandered me, called, texted, and insulted me. I've had enough of this. In response, I just kept silent," the artist shared.

At the same time, the singer noted, almost all the performers who supported the country treated opponents from the rock crowd with respect and did not allow public insults.

"80% of it was dog barking and unilateral insults. I have never heard anything bad about liberals from any musician who has accepted the policies of our country and the president, at least in the beginning. We just chose a side and said, "We are like this, we will follow our flag, our country, our people," Knabengoff stressed.

The leader of the Pilot group added that to the question "why did you support the holding of the SVO?" he answers in the words of actor Sergei Bodrov: "At the moment of conflict, you need to be for your own people." According to him, this statement fully corresponds to his beliefs.

"If you're a man, if your father raised you normally, you can't behave any differently. You have to be like a man because of your own people. Anyway! Even if your own people are wrong. We'll figure it out later. But if your own people are in conflict, you have to be for them. I grew up in the USSR, we had this rule of the yard. To back down when your people got into a fight was to become a Judas and a traitor. You have to be for your own people in any case, otherwise you are a traitor," the musician is sure.

On September 20, Andrei Reshetin, the ex-violinist of the Aquarium group, said that the performances of musicians in the rear of the liberated territories were necessary for the unity of local residents and military personnel. Reshetin recalled that before he had a stroke, he served in the first front-line creative brigade, with which he performed not only for the military, but also for civilians in the liberated territories.
