At the Montparnasse train station in Paris, police opened fire on a 44-year-old man who threatened his wife and son with a knife. This was reported on November 14 by the newspaper Le Figaro, citing the Paris prosecutor's office.

"When the man armed with a knife got off the train, he put the blade to his throat at the sight of the officers who came to arrest him...> Then the police opened fire, severely wounding him in the legs," the publication says.

It is noted that the station was partially evacuated, emergency services are currently working on the site.

On November 11, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Abkhazia reported a shootout in Sukhumi. An interception plan was announced to search for criminals in the city, and criminal investigation and intelligence units participated in the operation. Later, on November 13, one of the five victims of the shooting died in the Sukhumi Republican Hospital.
