The psychologist named the boundaries of the midlife crisis
People may experience a midlife crisis between the ages of 28 and 55, and there are no clear boundaries to this crisis. Pavel Reshetov, a psychologist and candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, told about this on Friday, November 14.
"Some authors name the age from 35 to 45 years. Others move the frames to the age of 30-50 years. In one of the papers, I came across the opinion that the time of this crisis is between 28 and 55 years old," the expert said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
He suggested focusing on the conventional middle ground of modern human life. According to his estimate, it could be between 35-45 years old. It's not so much about the age of the passport as about the psychological state of the person, he added.
Earlier, in June, psychologist Sergey Bessonov told the website kp.ru that the midlife crisis may come unexpectedly, but it has understandable and painful prerequisites.
According to the expert, the reassessment of life often begins with an existential shock. It's about awareness of one's own mortality, reports 360.ru .
In turn, Olga Shapiro, a psychologist at the Zelenograd branch of the Moscow Psychological Assistance Service, told the Moscow City News agency that men need an emotional or physical shake-up to overcome the midlife crisis: for example, they can build a house, make repairs or buy a car.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that generation Z is more susceptible to anxiety due to the digital environment, increased awareness of mental health and the influence of social media, writes "Moscow 24". Psychologist Polosina noted that young people are more likely to analyze their condition and face psychological pressure due to constant online comparisons.
