According to the Flowwow marketplace, Russians annually buy more than 100,000 bouquets and gifts for their loved ones, and this figure continues to increase. As Polina Voronina, director of the company's B2B marketing department, told Izvestia on November 17, it is especially important on this day to pay attention to those whose care and participation create a family atmosphere.

According to her, the main recipient of holiday greetings, of course, remains her mother. Flower arrangements are most often chosen on this day — monobooks of the average price category are especially popular.: roses, irises, hydrangeas. More and more often, small symbols of care are added to flowers, be it a cosmetic set or a scented candle, to emphasize the importance of personal rest and self-care.

As a more affordable option, you can choose a bento cake, which can be decorated with an inscription or a picture to make more personalized. However, it should be borne in mind that the demand for such products is especially high during the holidays, so it is better to order complex decor in advance. Certificates for SPA treatments are also popular, allowing mothers to devote time exclusively to themselves.

The expert emphasizes that special attention should be paid to grandmothers. For them, any signs of attention are especially valuable, and Mother's Day is another reason to gather the whole family. A set of tea, a blanket, a tea set or a bouquet of dried flowers is suitable as a gift, which retains its appearance for a long time and does not require maintenance.

"As a small gift to visit, you can consider a set of soft desserts: cakes, marshmallows or meringue roll. Such delicacies will not only create a festive atmosphere, but also be suitable for those who find it difficult to eat denser sweets," Voronina added.

Do not forget about the mother—in-law and mother-in-law - congratulating them on Mother's Day is perceived as a sign of respect for the mother of a loved one. Chocolate-covered strawberries can be a universal option, which is often complemented with other berries, creating elegant and unobtrusive sets.

Scents for the home with light floral or woody accents can be a suitable addition. As the expert notes, it is better to avoid too personal gifts — attention should remain delicate. An alternative may be gift cards to cosmetics stores, which allow you to circumvent possible errors with the recipient's preferences.

Mother's Day is also an opportunity to please those who have recently become a mother. According to Voronina, attention and help in household matters sometimes mean no less to them than material gifts. As a symbolic gesture, cozy and personal items are suitable — for example, a mug with a funny inscription or a certificate for a massage.

The Medical Xpress portal reported on August 14 that reducing or increasing the consumption of sugary foods will not change preferences in sweet flavors. It was clarified that during a six-month randomized trial conducted by scientists, participants who followed diets with different sugary foods showed no changes in their taste desires.
