Viktor Vitvitsky, the former Minister of Agriculture of the Novgorod Region, was detained, suspected of taking bribes worth more than 6.5 million rubles. This was reported on November 14 by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
"He is suspected of committing two crimes under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receiving bribes in the form of money on an especially large scale by an official")," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.
