Russia has recorded an increase in demand for trucks and light commercial vehicles
In September-October of this year, demand for trucks increased by 25.5% compared to June-July, and for light commercial vehicles — by 12%. On November 14, experts from Avito Special Equipment told Izvestia about this. According to analysts, the autumn growth in demand for commercial transport partly indicates a recovery in business activity in logistics, as well as a seasonal increase in turnover.
Among medium and large-tonnage trucks, KamAZ, Shacman, Howo, FAW and GAZ are the most popular. Among the most popular models are Howo T5G, Shacman X5000, Shacman X3000, KamAZ-65115 and Sitrack C7H.
Demand for Dongfeng trucks increased 2.1 times, JAC — by 74.9%, KamAZ — by 51.2%, FAW — by 38.4%, MAZ — by 23.8%. Among the models, the demand for Dongfeng C120L has increased most significantly (4.4 times), JAC N200 (2.1 times), JAC N120X (2 times). As for the supply, the largest share among the trucks represented on the platform is occupied by KamAZ (23.1%), Shacman (10.4%), FAW (10.3%) and Howo (8.6%) vehicles.
In the segment of new light commercial vehicles, GAZ, Sollers, Dongfeng, Foton and KamAZ vehicles attract the most attention of users. Among the models, Gazelle Next, Sollers Atlant, Foton Toano, KamAZ Compass 5, and Dongfeng K33 were the most in demand.
The most noticeable growth in demand was recorded for GAZ (+23.9%), Dongfeng (+18.5%) and KamAZ (+10.9%) vehicles. Users of the platform began to pay more attention to the Dongfeng K33 (+22.6%), Gazelle Next (+22.5%), Sollers Atlant (+22.2%), and KAMAZ Kompas 5 (+10.9%) models. The share in the supply is distributed as follows: GAZ machinery accounts for 21.7%, Dongfeng — 12.2%, Sollers — 8.8%, KamAZ — 6.8%, Foton — 4.3%.
Earlier, on November 10, it became known that the production units of KAMAZ PJSC returned to work in a five-day working week. At the end of July, the company announced that it would switch to a one-day work week starting on August 1, partly due to the lack of market growth prospects. At the end of August, the order to switch to a three-day working week, which had been under consideration since September, was canceled. At that time, the company said that the market had begun to stabilize "at low levels."
