Hongqi crossover sets a Guinness World record

The Hongqi HS6 hybrid crossover has set a Guinness World record for plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV), covering 2,327 km without refueling or recharging. This is stated in a message that was received by Izvestia on November 14.

The test route ran through southern China and took place both on the roads of the Shangri-La highland region and in the Guangzhou metropolitan area. The achievement was recorded by representatives of the Guinness Book of Records.

Hongqi HS6 PHEV is equipped with a power plant, which consists of a 1.5 gasoline engine and electric motors, its power is 495 hp. Two batteries with a capacity of 23.9 kWh and 39.5 kWh are available, the range on electric power is 123 km and 205 km, respectively. The total range in the combined cycle reaches 1,650 km. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options are available. The dimensions of the car are 4925×1970× 1740 mm with a wheelbase of 2925 mm.

The Russian representative office of the brand noted that there are currently no plans to supply Hongqi HS6 PHEV to the Russian market.

Earlier, on October 16, it was reported that Russia began accepting orders for Hongqi H9 executive sedans in a new modification, which is characterized by a powerful engine and the presence of an all-wheel drive system. The restyled H9 is offered to Russians with a three-liter turbocharged V6 engine with a capacity of 326 hp (450 Nm), a classic eight-speed automatic and an all-wheel drive transmission. The price of the car is 9.99 million rubles.
