IA EAOmedia writes that the city prosecutor's office has sent a statement of claim to the court in the interests of the deceased's daughter and wife to recover funds from the employer in favor of compensation for moral damage. The court satisfied the requirements of the supervisory authority.

Earlier, two women appealed to the prosecutor's office with a request to help protect their rights to receive compensation after the death of their loved one as a result of an industrial accident.

It was established that on May 17, 2024, a locksmith, while in the premises of the central heating station, connecting electrical equipment, received an electric shock and died. The examination established that death was caused by electrical trauma.

The causes of the accident were non-compliance with labor protection requirements and the admission of a locksmith to work without personal protective equipment. He also did not undergo a mandatory medical examination.

The perpetrator of the crime under the article "Causing death by negligence" has been brought to criminal responsibility.

In October, it was reported that a worker in Tyumen received a fatal electric shock during the construction of an apartment building. When installing plumbing pipes, a 22-year-old man plugged an extension cord into an outlet, the wire of which was on the floor with broken insulation in the water. As a result, the builder received an electric shock, from which he died. Law enforcement officers established that the deceased was allowed to perform work without official employment. The prosecutor's office appealed to the court with a demand to recognize the fact of the employment relationship and collect compensation from the company in favor of the victim's parents.
