In Primorsky Krai, an official of the education department of the Dalnerechensk city district was arrested for two months for stealing budget funds. According to the regional prosecutor's office on November 14, the amount of embezzlement amounted to more than 3.7 million rubles.

It was established that the head from 2022 to 2025 fictitiously employed two people in a preschool educational institution. One of them was her close relative. In fact, these employees did not begin to perform their work duties, but their salaries and all the necessary allowances were calculated in their names every month.

"The damage caused to the budget of the Dalnerechensk city district exceeded 3.7 million rubles. In addition, upon the fact of corruption, the interdistrict prosecutor submitted a submission to the head of the city district raising the issue of dismissing the official due to loss of trust," the department's Telegram channel says.

A criminal case has been opened under Parts 3 and 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud committed on a large and especially large scale using one's official position").

Prior to that, on October 25, the court arrested the former head of the Rostov-on-Don administration, Alexei Logvinenko, in a case of abuse of office, he was detained until December 23. The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has opened a criminal case against Logvinenko. According to the investigation, in 2020, the official, heading the city administration, in violation of budget legislation, attracted a loan from a commercial bank. As a result of his actions, the amount of damage caused to the city amounted to more than 47 million rubles.
