The FSB of the Russian Federation prevented a terrorist attack from the special services of Ukraine at the Troekurovsky cemetery

The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB of the Russian Federation) prevented a terrorist act planned by the special services of Ukraine against one of the highest officials of the Russian state when he visited the burial of close relatives at the Troekurovsky cemetery. This became known on November 14th.

It is noted that the Ukrainian special services recruited several people for the terrorist attack. Among them is an illegal migrant from Central Asia and two people with drug addiction and criminal records. When they were arrested in Moscow, they told the details of the crime.

"I met Ruslan [that was the name of one of the organizers of the terrorist attack], who offered me to go to Moscow for methadone and do his business. I took my husband and we drove off. At the Rumyantsevo metro station, a man approached us with a vase. He said that it was from Ruslan and that we needed to go to the cemetery," said the person involved in the case.

Her husband was the first to suspect that there was an explosive device in the vase.

"We went to the cemetery. <...> We found this grave, he said to put this vase in the far left corner. Everything was done, the package was thrown out and we were going to leave. But Ruslan called her [with a request to turn the camera — Ed.] <...> I turned and saw that something was flashing there. The man came in about 10 minutes later and started picking at the vase. He asked me to help, to shine a light, as it was already dark. I started shining the light and saw wires there. <...> I assumed it was an explosive device," one of the accomplices said during the interrogation.

In addition, Jaloliddin Kurbanovich Shamsov, who lives in Kiev and is wanted by Russian law enforcement agencies for murder and illegal arms trafficking, was detained.

During the actions to prevent the terrorist attack, communications equipment was seized, which revealed correspondence between the detainees and an employee of the Ukrainian special services in WhatsApp messengers (owned by Meta Corporation, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) and Signal, confirming the preparation of the assassination attempt, as well as a video surveillance camera disguised as a vase of flowers with the ability to remotely control and transmit data abroad., used in the preparation of a sabotage and terrorist act.

Earlier, on November 7, in the Moscow region, employees of the Center for Countering Extremism of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, together with the FSB of the Russian Federation, stopped preparations for a terrorist attack, during which an agent of the Ukrainian special services was supposed to hand over explosives in Izmailovsky Park. A criminal case was opened against a 27-year-old resident of Volokolamsk on the grounds of a crime under articles 30 ("Preparation for a crime and attempted crime") and 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act").
