The expert spoke about the consequences of losing a mobile number

The loss of a mobile number can lead to loss of access to banks and other services. About this on November 14 in an interview with Lenta.ru Sergey Zolotukhin, a cybersecurity expert at F6, spoke.

"If you don't use your number for a long time, the mobile operators will take it away. And in a few months, it may end up with a new user, who will receive, along with a SIM card, the key to the accounts of the previous owner on various services, secrets and bank accounts," Zolotukhin explained.

To minimize risks, the expert recommended that when changing the number, make a list of services where it is used for authorization. Also, if you lose your phone and the number along with it, you need to contact the bank to close access to account information on the old number.
