We are talking about the village of Amga — village of Chakyr 2nd winter camp in the Amginsky district. This is the fourth active ice crossing on the territory of the republic.

According to IA YakutiaMedia, earlier crossings were launched in Oleneksky (via Olenek), Zhigansky (via Strekalovka) and Verkhnevilyuysky (via Vilyui) districts. Cars weighing up to 4 tons are allowed on Vilyui, and up to 3 tons on the rest.

Winter shelters are built only with a safe thickness of ice and according to an approved schedule. The launch dates may vary depending on the weather and ice conditions.
