The Arbitration Court of the Republic of North Ossetia—Alania has declared State Duma deputy Robert Kochiev bankrupt. As reported on November 13, the decision was made at the request of the Solidarity Bank, according to the file of arbitration cases.

The amount of the parliamentarian's debt to creditors is at least 653 million rubles, according to the file of arbitration cases.

"A debt restructuring procedure has been introduced in relation to Kochiev," TASS clarified.

According to the case file, Kochiev acted as a guarantor of the alcoholic producer Istok ZSHV in front of the Solidarity bank. The company is also going through bankruptcy proceedings, its total debt exceeds 1 billion rubles, including about 390 million rubles of debts to the tax service.

Earlier, on September 26, the Bank of Russia announced joint work with the Prosecutor General's Office on measures to bring to justice the so—called debtors - individuals and organizations that promise citizens illegal debt relief. The Central Bank noted that the number of victims of their activities is growing, and a ban on advertising such services is no longer enough.
