The State Duma responded to the G7's call for an immediate cease-fire in Ukraine
Russia is ready to immediately cease fire in Ukraine under certain conditions. Alexey Chepa, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, said this on Thursday, November 13, responding to the relevant call from the Group of Seven (G7).
The parliamentarian noted that we should be grateful to all countries that show peaceful initiatives to end the conflict initiated by the West. At the same time, the conditions for this should be such that this conflict does not resume in the future.
"If such conditions are met, we are ready to immediately cease fire, stop all further actions and heal the wounds from this conflict as soon as possible," the deputy said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
At the same time, the MP added that in parallel, many G7 countries are making statements that only incite the Ukrainian conflict. According to the politician, they do not give commands to the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, to carry out certain activities.
"We see that Ukraine does not even solve humanitarian issues, and believe me, it will do everything under any pressure from the West, because it is completely dependent on the West," concluded Chepa.
Earlier, on November 12, following a meeting in the Canadian province of Ontario, the G7 countries announced the need for an immediate cease-fire in Ukraine and the start of negotiations, RT reports.
In a joint statement by the heads of the foreign ministries of the member countries of the association, it was noted that the current line of contact should be the starting point for dialogue, according to the website. kp.ru .
Earlier, on October 31, it was reported that the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated the inability of the Kiev regime and its European curators to work to eliminate the root causes of the conflict in Ukraine. The Western "plans to end the war" did not take into account the repeal of laws against the Russian language, the restoration of the rights of national minorities and the cessation of persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
