Belarus expressed willingness to help with the restoration of the Kursk region
Belarus has expressed its readiness to assist with the reconstruction of the border areas of the Kursk region affected by the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on November 13 by the republic's Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Alexander Rogozhnik, at a meeting with the governor of the region, Alexander Khinstein.
"I wanted to talk to you about the possibility of Belarusians participating in the construction of kindergartens, schools, and some social facilities. We have a lot of experience in this — in Voronezh, Kaluga and other regions," the BelTA state news agency quoted him as saying.
Rogozhnik specified that Belarus can offer "various financial mechanisms", as well as ensure the supply of construction materials and machinery.
On August 19, the Russian government announced the allocation of over 200 million rubles in aid for the Belgorod and Kursk regions. The funds will be used to pay for residents and support organizations providing housing and communal services. 150.5 million rubles were allocated to the Kursk region. They are aimed at supporting at least 25 organizations involved in the provision of housing and communal services.
