Truck traffic restricted in Murmansk region
Truck traffic was restricted in the Murmansk region on the evening of November 13. This is due to the establishment of adverse weather conditions.
Restrictions apply on sections of the federal highway "Cola". According to the Bi-Port news agency, not all vehicles will be able to travel from Kandalaksha to Kildinstroy and from Ura-Guba to Pechenga. In addition, there is a threat of closure of the road to Tumannoye and Teriberka.
Residents of the region and tourists are asked to plan trips in advance, taking into account current restrictions. According to weather forecasters, snowstorms and snowfall of varying intensity are expected in the Murmansk region on the night of November 14.
According to Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, snow has already covered 80% of the country's territory.
