Belgium expressed doubts about the reliability of reports about "Russian UAVs"
Residents of Belgium have increasingly begun to doubt the authenticity of media reports about "Russian drones" allegedly appearing over the country. This was reported on November 13 by the newspaper DH.
"So far, the government and the Ministry of Defense have not provided any solid evidence — neither photographs nor videos — that security is imperative. A silence that raises doubts: is the government losing the trust of citizens?" the newspaper notes.
According to the newspaper, another factor of tension was the accusation against Russia, which many in the country consider "too convenient."
On November 5, Belgian Defense Minister Theo Franken announced that due to incidents with unidentified drones in the skies over Belgium, his state intends to activate Article 4 of the Washington Treaty of NATO in the near future, which implies conducting security consultations with the countries of the bloc.
On November 9, three unidentified drones were spotted over the territory of the Doul nuclear power plant in Belgium. It was noted that the incident did not affect the operation of the nuclear power plant.
