MTS presented financial results for the third quarter
MTS revenue for the third quarter of 2025 increased by 18.5% year-on-year to 213.8 billion rubles on the back of revenue growth in business areas. This is evidenced by the financial statements of the company.
According to the document, the group's OIBDA increased by 16.7% to 71.8 billion rubles in the third quarter. "The good growth dynamics of OIBDA is related to the optimization of operating expenses and is supported by revenues from communication services, advertising and media areas," MTS said.
The company's net profit amounted to 6 billion rubles. Capital expenditures decreased by 5.3% to 31.8 billion rubles due to less active investments during the quarter.
MTS CEO Inessa Galaktionova noted that the group's key financial indicators continue to grow. For example, the company's quarterly revenue has again updated a historical record. "By optimizing MTS' business and focusing investments on key areas, we were able not only to stabilize the debt burden, but also to reduce the net debt-to-OIBDA ratio to 1.6 at the end of the third quarter. This is the lowest figure in the last four years," explained the head of the company.
She stressed that MTS focuses on the development of future technologies. "A striking example is the conclusion of a partnership with Yandex, in which MTS will provide a high—precision geo-positioning infrastructure for controlling unmanned vehicles," Galaktionova added.
Subscriber protection remains a priority for the company. "MTS offers the most effective solution for blocking spam calls and the widest range of digital security services in the country," said the CEO.
MTS' subscriber base now stands at 83.2 million (an increase of 1.3 million year-on-year). Revenues from the telecom sector in the third quarter amounted to 130.4 billion rubles, an increase of 12.2% year-on—year due to an increase in revenues from mobile and fixed businesses in B2C, revenues from basic and digital services in B2B, and revenues from the inter-operator business.
Revenue from the company's retail business and equipment sales grew by 37% year-on-year in the third quarter. The revenue of the ecosystem represented by the new Erion brand reached 84.7 billion rubles, an increase of 22.7%. For nine months, the ecosystem's revenue amounted to 41% of the group's revenue.
Rovshan Aliyev, President of the Erion Group of Companies, said that the brand is designed to give a new impetus to the development of the ecosystem and its positioning. "The name Erion combines two meanings: Era — as a symbol of a large—scale period of development and leadership, and Ion - as a particle of energy and movement. Under the new brand, Erion will create a solid foundation for the long—term growth of MTS' business," Aliyev stated.
Erion is responsible for shaping a unified development trajectory, for resource allocation and budget planning, as well as for finding points of synergy between companies. Erion's strategic focus for the coming years is to develop an ecosystem for external partnerships.
