The new heroic military comedy "There is Only a Moment", which will be released in theaters on November 27, is a unique fusion of history, high-quality action and comedy. On November 13, film critic Nikolai Nikulin explained why the film is important to watch.

During the Great Patriotic War (WWII), the success of offensive operations was largely determined not only by the courage and heroism of the Soviet soldier, but also by the tactical genius of the country's military leadership. All this is in the new war movie.

"They become heroes in an inconspicuous part of the war, at a false airfield. This is a film about the defenders of the Motherland, with their dramas, but also humor. Director Alexander Zhigalkin called his film a heroic comedy, which we had previously seen only in Soviet cinema: let's remember "Their old men go to battle" and "Heavenly Tardigrade", — said Nikulin.

The filming process took place in the Moscow region and the Kaluga region. According to the story, the main character, pilot Ivan Polivanov, played by Daniil Popov, is forbidden to fly after his cornea is burned and transferred to a new location. However, when the bombing begins there, the pilot is perplexed to notice that for some reason others are happy. It is then that the hero realizes that he has landed at a false airfield, the purpose of which is to distract the enemy from their real goals.

The aerial battle scenes were filmed using the latest LED screens. The cameras were fixed around the aircraft models.

"MiG was such an instant hero for us. We really liked the line from the song "There is only a moment", on the one hand. On the other hand, by that time there were almost no MiGs. This is the moment, that this is the last moment," said director Alexander Zhigalkin.

Actors Sofia Lopunova, Vladimir Ilyin, Alexey Shevchenkov, Alexey Dmitriev are in the frame. Music also plays an important role. Igor Ugolnikov, who not only starred in the film, but also acted as a producer, together with director Alexander Zhigalkin, asked composer Ivan Zamotaev to write something light, emphasizing the humorous nature of the tape. Anatoly Belozerov, who worked a lot with Igor Ugolnikov on war films, says that even when recording the sounds of aircraft engines, there are many nuances.

"For example, a propeller-driven dive plane with a cannon on the fuselage, not on the wings. It turns out that it shoots between turns, between the blades. And when he dives, the engine starts to accelerate, and the shooting also accelerates. It gets out of the peak, the engine slows down, and the shooting slows down," he explained.

On the screen, historical truth and fiction do not conflict. And starting from November 27, it will be possible to fully experience it in the cinema.

Earlier, on November 9, it was reported that the film "There is only a Moment" will tell about the events at the false airfield on the eve of the offensive operation Bagration. The age limit of the film "12 +" is explained by the genre of the picture — a heroic comedy. There are scenes of fighting, espionage intrigues, but the film is primarily about friendship and love and, of course, that very white moment.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
