Pavel Mikov, the former Commissioner for Human Rights in the Perm Region, died at the age of 50. This was announced on November 13 by the regional Ombudsman Igor Sapko, expressing his condolences to his family and friends.

"Pavel Vladimirovich Mikov has passed away, an open, kind and literate man who devoted his life to serving people and did a lot for the residents of the Perm Region," Sapko said on his VKontakte page.
