The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the refusal of the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera to publish an interview with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. The agency wrote about this on November 13 in its telegram channel.

"They offered <...> to take an exclusive interview with <...> Lavrov. The newspaper's editorial staff enthusiastically agreed. They sent us lengthy interview questions. The Minister gave an exhaustive answer to each of them. The text was prepared promptly. <...> But the publication refused to post Sergey Lavrov's answers to his own questions," the publication says.

According to the agency, Lavrov's words sounded "controversial," many of them allegedly demanding fact-checking. The editors refused to publish not only the full version, but also an abridged version of the interview.

The Russian Foreign Ministry called this case "blatant censorship," and also offered to review the texts of the failed publications.
