The fourth Russian Wine Forum opened in Moscow
The fourth Russian Wine Forum, the largest national platform for discussing the prospects for the development of the domestic wine market, opened in Moscow on November 12. The event is attended by producers, experts and representatives of regions where winemaking is actively developing.
The main winner of the forum was the Crimean port wine Sevastopol 1994 from Inkerman company. The wine received two prestigious awards at once — the Prince Golitsyn Award and the cup of the Association of Winegrowers and Winemakers of Russia.
Other winners of the competition include wines from the Kuban, the Don Valley, Dagestan and the Lower Volga.
Earlier, on November 1, it was reported that the plenary session of the forum entitled "Wine of Russia. The First five-year plan" will be devoted to summarizing the operation of Federal Law No. 468-FZ "On Viticulture and Winemaking." In the five years since its adoption, the area of vineyards in the country has exceeded 100 thousand hectares, and the production of domestic wines is showing steady growth.
