Storm warning announced in Sochi

Weather forecasters warned of worsening weather conditions in Sochi and in the federal territory of Sirius. Showers and thunderstorms are expected by the evening of November 12.

According to forecasts, the height of the waves on the seashore will reach 1.2 m. Storm activity will last until the end of the day on November 13. This is reported by KrasnodarMedia news agency.

Emergency and utility services have been put into an enhanced mode of operation. Sochi residents and tourists are advised to refrain from visiting the seaside. Motorists are asked not to park their cars under trees or near advertising structures.

Earlier, weather forecasters warned of a deterioration in the weather in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
